The Philosophy of ARTT

In this ever-changing world of art and technology, it has become critical that the honor and integrity of Fine Art be preserved.

“Artistic Responsibility To Truth” describes our commitment to the role we must all assume in order to guarantee that integrity prevails in all areas of the creative process.

The ARTT logo identifies our members as people who are concerned with and strive for “good art”, honest representation, authenticity, and a firm commitment to our associates and the art communities who are deeply committed to honoring a universal Code of Ethics. It is important that we are informed and work together to maintain the highest standards in the creative arts. We can achieve this “together” and promote the kind of image we want for the profession and for ourselves.

It is our goal to heighten overall awareness through working with art commissions and other organizations for the support of strong ethics in the creation, production, and marketing of fine art. In addition to a program of educating artists, galleries, collectors and all concerned on the ethical and legal responsibilities to ourselves, our industry, and the public, ARTT can further endorse the acquisitions of exemplary fine art to Museums, Corporations, Universities, Institutions and private collectors.

Our members ascribe to ARTT’s philosophy and serve as role models supporting each other and the organization in the pursuit of achieving the highest levels for fine art in the visual, performing, and literary arts.
